The lapa has a large, fully equipped kitchen, bar facilities, a huge fireplace and opens onto a large lawned area, only a few meters from the river with its suspension bridge. The lapa can accommodate 80 wedding guests. Oewerzicht has a free-form (stretch) tent that can be used for bigger weddings of up to 150 guests. Oewerzicht specializes in “kuier” weddings, where guests book all the cottages and luxury tents on the farm for a couple of days and have a fun time together – the bride and bridegroom often being the last ones to leave the party…! The beautiful and romantic village of Greyton, a mere 9kms from Oewerzicht, has beautiful churches to choose from for your wedding ceremony, should you opt for a church wedding, such as the historic Moravian Church, the Anglican Church and the Dutch Reformed Church. Alternatively you can have your wedding ceremony in the beautiful and historic Moravian Church on the square in the cute little village of Genadendal, 15kms from Oewerzicht farm. |
